I call this one the Zebra Longwing Slumber Party. This group of Zebra Longwing butterflies are resting in a Ficus tree in the Wings of Fancy Butterfly Exhibit at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD.

This species exhibits this behavior in our flight house. I expect pheromones are involved in them finding each other amongst the more the 60 species we currently having flying.
