Momma goose is having another go at it at this nest site in Brookside Gardens. She managed to hatch one chick last year on this nest even though the eggs are coated to prevent hatching. This image was enhanced using Photoshop.
Update: Stacy, the lady who coats the eggs, told me she left momma goose a couple of uncoated eggs this year - I can't wait to see the little ones.

I always feel bad about coating or shaking the eggs, but when I was back in Frederick County last month, I made a trip over to the beaver pond. There were geese all over the place. I kept thinking, "What's going to happen if they all have chicks?" My shoes were covered iwth goose poop when I got home. I had to wash them.

I like this rear-view of mother goose. The processing has given the image an appealing stylized look. Nice one.

Another terrific one. I really like how you are pping these. I don't know if you are familiar with Glen Loates. He is the premier realist painter of wildfowl.
