A scene in Brookside Gardens on a frosty morning - coldest day yet of this Winter season. The ponds are iced over and the frost was thick. The mature forest in the background is Wheaton Regional Park that has a number of trails including horse riding trails.I sat for a while on a south facing bench and let the sun warm me up a bit and noticed this scene that appealed to me.
The county I live in has over 38,000 acres of park land with a fantastic variety of scenery. Brookside Gardens that I frequent is part of that park system as is Wheaton Regional Park.

This image has appeal, but I'm trying to put my finger on it. The forest in the background, sets off the formal garden elements in the foreground. The frost, especially on the end of the grass plumes look like blossoms.
