We took a hike along the C&O Canal towpath on Christmas eve and found this scene. This is a side channel of the Potomac River just below the Tavern at Great Falls on the Maryland side of the river.

The image was converted to b&w in Photoshop using channel mixer.

I have only been to Great Falls once..and that was before I caught the photography bug. What a wonderful place to shoot!
