A scene from Shenandoah National Park taken after the leaves have fallen. This was taken while hiking to Mary's Rock that is just south of the Thornton Gap Entrance to Skyline Drive. It is one of a number of rock outcroppings that provide fantastic viewing of the Shenandoah Valley if one is willing to hike to them.
The Appalachian Trail runs along the ridge tops of Shenandoah National Park and provides access to some of the vistas or to the trails that lead to the vistas.

I like the tree limbs against the sky in this fine view of an interesting country side. These trails must be very rewarding.

This is a great shot with the mountains in the background. I never get tired of Virginia.
