This digital art creation is based on an image taken this time last year.I found this scene while strolling through my local Botanical Gardens on a sunny day. What initially caught my eye was the red berries on the bushes and then I noticed their reflections in the pond along which they grow.
After working with this for a while I hit upon the idea of cropping out everything that was not a reflection and rotating the remaining image 180 degrees. I then applied a filter treatment in Photoshop to make this creation look more like a painting.

I especially like the colors. The soft blue complements the fiery red-orange. The shadows give structure to this sunny composition. WELL DONE.
