Our backyard borders on a stream side park that is the home of a number of wildlife species including red foxes. I spotted this one looking for something to eat right as the sun was peeking through the trees. The grass was heavy with dew and was sparkling in the warm early morning sunlight. Based on the time of year this was taken, I would guess this is a vixen looking for food for her kits. I find fox dens in the woods behind my back fence and see foxes in the yard more often this time of year.
This was a grab shot taken hand-held at a slow shutter speed with a P&S camera- it had a significant amount of motion blur so I rendered it a digital art creation using Photoshop.

A fine fox photo! I see these occasionally in my back yard, and it's always a treat.
