Here is another shot of the woods at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain - a quartzite monadnock sticking up in the middle of the rolling farm fields of Dickerson, MD. The foreground is the top of a large boulder typical of the area with the usual flora found growing on it. The trees in this shot are Beech, Red and White Oak, Tulip Poplar, and at least one Maple with its bright Fall foliage.
