Another view of the Shenandoah River with a Virginia hillside in the background. Much of the river bottom is solid rock, some of which can be seen projecting out of the water in this shot. The Fall colors are quite muted this year - likely due to the drought and warm weather we had been experiencing.
Location/Date: Taken just upstream of the new Rt. 340 bridge in the West Virginia looking toward the Virginia side of the River, November 4, 2007.

Kayakers would need to wear helmets here... but what a beautiful trip it would be. Excellent depth of field.

A beautiful river shot. The muted fall colors are attractive in a different way. Interesting how full the river appears with the lack of rain. Very nice image.

Nice one!, I find it interesting that the entire river bottom is solid rock!
