Insect Fantasy

Insect Fantasy

previous | home | next

Another digital art creation featuring a Spiderflower (Cleome L.) blossom with an insect on it.This was taken at dusk so I suspect the wasp was settled in for the night, thus the draped posture.

Location/Date: Visitors Center, Brookside Gardens, Wheaton, MD, September 23, 2007.

[Nikon D200, Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR, 1/80s, f/3, iso 400, hand held]

I've used this same filter, and I like the sharpening effect it offers. This "insect fantasy" is outstanding.

I really like the processing and the color. Unfortunately, the bee looks a little done in in that postition, but there is a lot of potential here for future images.
