Passion Flower - Redux

Passion Flower - Redux

previous | home | next

I went back to capture some more images of the passion flower (Passiflora Incense). This time it is an image of the full blossom without the bumblebee but with a digital art treatment. It has such a colorful and exotic blossom - I find it to be very intriguing. The naming of this flower is interesting - it refers not to love but to the Passion of Christ based on the parts of the blossom.

Location/Date: Visitors Center, Brookside Gardens, Wheaton, MD,. September 27, 2007.

Good one. I took some pictures of this, but they didn't come out as good as yours.
