Floral Chaos

Floral Chaos

previous | home | next

I was attracted to these grass stalks but found them difficult to capture in the usual manner. There was quite a breeze so the grasses were moving when I took this. Thus I did not use a slower shutter speed to gain a smaller aperture and better depth of field . What I got then was this floral chaos but I found it appealing in its own unique way.

Location/Date: Trial Garden in Brookside Gardens, Wheaton, MD, September 10, 2007.

The little purple blossoms across the bottom really make the image.

I think the floral chaos works very well. This has a very painterly feel to it.

I love these kind of plants and the colors in this one are particularly beautiful.
