I captured this chaotic scene at the sunning log showing one of the older of the green heron fledgelings flying in and scaring a younger green heron fledgeling off the log and into the water. The red-eared slider turtle in the foreground appears startled by this flurry of activity on the usually peaceful sunning log. I observed this behavior on several occasions while these fledgelings were young.
