While reviewing previous images for an upcoming photo club outing to Antietam Battlefield I came across this one. It features the old sycamore tree which was in photos taken the day after the famous Civil War battle at this site. I have always been fascinated by how the shape of the trunk mimics the stone bridge pillars.

Very interesting -- and well seen. I'm looking forward to the outing.

This bridge appears very photogenic from any angle. Your perspective and with the tree make it an outstanding image. The processing is great, too.

Bud, this is a great image. I have a suggestion for a slightly different presentation. If the top is cropped off at the intersection of the tree and bridge, the tree becomes less obviously a tree and blends perfectly into the bridge making it appear to be one structure. Then when the brain figures out what its looking at you get that "wow, how cool" feeling. At least I did when scrolling down the page.
