A recent posting on Andrew Williams' blog plus a comment on it by Donna Hughes reminded me of cooler times and this image from last Fall came to mind. This water is spilling over and through a flow control gate on the C&O Canal just below The Tavern at Great Falls on the Maryland side of the Potomac River. This image has a degree of motion blur from hand holding at such a slow shutter speed even though I had the lens vibration reduction turned on.
Location/Date: a lock on the the C&O Canal, Great Falls, MD, October 12, 2006
