A juvenile Great Blue Heron fishing in a pond in the shadows - caught in the morning light. I have reworked this image a number of times trying to bring out as much detail in the GBH while taming the hot spot in the background where the sun was hitting the vegetation - not sure I have been fully successful in doing either but I still am fond of this image.
Tomorrow will feature this GBH hunting for breakfast among the flowers lining this pond.
