The runt had its share of struggles as seen in the top panel - a little loss of balance here as it negotiates the ramp. It also had a flare for the dramatic as shown in the middle panel where it does its 'I,m a goner' act. Momma duck looks in the lower panel like she is wondering what she do with this gang of kids as the runt is now fully recovered and practicing the strut with its sibling!
Tomorrow we will see some interactions between momma duck and her ducklings as well as how the ducklings respond to being such a big hit with the school kids visiting the Gardens.
